Women's Ice Hockey Returns to NCAA Tournament, Set to Host Norwich

Waterville, Maine - The Colby Women's Ice Hockey team is set to return to the NCAA tournament for the second straight season as an at-large bid.  The Mules posted the most wins in a season in program history, falling in the conference semifinals to Hamilton College.  The tournament berth marks the second consecutive year the Mules have earned a spot as one of the nation's elite, the only two appearances the College has made in the women's tournament.

Norwich will enter the game with a 19-7-2 record after topping Elmira College in the NEHC Championship game.  Colby enters the match after setting a program record with 17 wins on the season.  The Cadets placed six members on the NEHC All-Conference first and second teams, including Player of the Year Ann-Frederique Guay.  Colby placed Meg Rittenhouse to the All-NESCAC First Team after leading the NESCAC with 30 points in 24 games, and Bri Michaud-Nolan returned to the Second Team for the second consecutive year.  Against like-opponents, Norwich posted a 4-3-2 record while the Mules were 6-3-0.

The first round game is set to take place in the O'Neil | O'Donnell Forum Wednesday night at 7:00pm.  Ticket and streaming information will follow.
