Seguin, Texas - The Colby Women's Tennis Team kicked off their spring break trip in Texas with a 9-0 win over Texas Lutheran University.

The Mules took a commanding lead in the doubles, only dropping 3 games across all 3 courts. Junior captains Sam Riordan and Sydney Landau won 8-1 at line 1, freshmen Maddie Omicioli and Bella Suk won 8-2 at line 2 and Amelie Gal and Ellie Gershaw won 8-2 at line 3.

The momentum continued in favor of the Mules in the singles. Riordan and Landau both won 6-0, 6-0 on courts 1 and 2 respectively. Gershaw added another point for the Mules at line 3 winning 6-1, 6-1. 

At the 4th singles, Suk defeated her opponent 6-1, 6-0. Senior Captain Caleigh McClain won 6-0, 6-2 at line 5 and Gal completed the final victory for the Mules on court 6 6-2, 6-1.

The women continue their spring break trip against Johns Hopkins on Tuesday, March 21st.
