Williamstown, Mass. - The Colby Women's Lacrosse team traveled to Williams (3-1, 1-1 NESCAC) this Saturday for their second NESCAC game of the season and stood up in a thrilling game. In the closely contested matchup, the Mules fell to the Ephs 8-10 setting their overall to 0-3 this season.
Williams outscored the Mules by one goal in the first quarter but Colby quickly fought back in the second quarter, scoring three goals and closing the early deficit. Following halftime, the Mules came back strong and took the lead by scoring four more goals. This was a wake-up call for the Ephs who secured the win in the final frame by adding five more goals and taking the lead.

Ally Franz was the leading scorer for Colby with three goals, followed by senior
Annie Eddy with two goals.
Gianna Bruno secured three assists and one goal. The game was characterized by strong defensive play with seven saves by
Sarah Hearns. The Mules even led in draw controls 16-6.
Colby can take pride in their performance and will look to bounce back in their next match on Monday against Plymouth State University here on Mayflower Hill for the first time this season.
