Lewiston, MAINE- Colby returned to the court this afternoon, hoping to shake off their loss from last night. The Mules did just that more and commanded the game from start to finish. Colby built a 58-34 halftime lead and never looked back, cruising to a 99-80 victory. This allows the Mules to complete the double over Bates this season. The victory takes Colby to 16-6 and drops the Bobcats to 7-15.
The first half saw the Mules have their highest output in a half this season. They hit 58 as they dominated inside and hit ten threes. Colby was led in scoring by 16 points from
Max Poulton and 13 points from
Noah Tyson.
The second half saw the Mules cool off as their three-point percentage dropped by half. However, they continued to dominate inside and found significant help off the bench.
Jonah Obi led the second half, scoring eight points, while Tyson,
Alec McGovern, and
David Stewart all had six points.
Colby returns home for the season's final two games, starting with a matchup against Amherst at 7 pm on February 10th.
