Game Recap: Women's Ice Hockey |

Mules' Seniors Dominate in First Night of Senior Weekend

Waterville, Maine- Colby College Women's Ice Hockey competed against the Connecticut College Camels in the penultimate match of the regular season, winning 3-0. The Mules are now 15-6-0 overall and 9-6-0 in NESCAC conference competition. 

Only 1:36 into the first period, senior Jillian Mazzocca elevated the puck over the goalie's right pad to give Colby the early 1-0 lead. Fellow senior Madi Aumann earned her second assist of the season on Jillian Mazzocca's goal. A goal by Tate Senden in the 17th minute off an assist by fellow senior McKinley Karpa and captain Meg Rittenhouse, continued the offensive showcase for the seniors. In the second period, goalkeeper Mandy Busky held her defensive presence to stop several attempts at a play by the Camels. This game marks Mandy Busky's 4th game with 26 saves. In the third period, McKinley Karpa took the score to 3-0 to end off the match for the Mules. Colby currently sits in 4th place in the NESCAC standings, clinching a home game in the quarterfinals. 

Tomorrow Colby College Women's Ice Hockey will rematch the Connecticut College Camels in the final match of the regular season.
