Women's Squash Prepares for CSA Team Championship

Waterville, Maine - After competing in the NESCAC tournament last weekend, the Colby Women's Squash team prepares for the 2023 CSA Team Championship being held at the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University on February 17-19.

The top eight teams in the nation will compete in the A division for the Howe Cup, which is awarded to the national champions. Based on their performance in the regular season, the remaining teams compete in different divisions: B (Kurtz Cup), C (Walker Cup), and D (Epps Cup). Last year, the Mules battled in the D division as the #2 seed and ended up beating Georgetown 6-3 to claim the Epps Cup. However, after a stronger season this year going 7-11 and placing 20th overall the Mules will be competing in the C Division trying to get their hands on the Walker Cup.

At 10:00am tomorrow at Penn on courts 10, 11, and 12, Colby will start the tournament as the #4 seed going up against NESCAC opponent Wesleyan the #5 seed. Fans can go to CSA Women's Championship webpage to find all the information on results, live scores, and streaming throughout the weekend. More tournament info can be found on the Women's Team Championship page on club locker.

The winner will advanced to the semifinals on Saturday at 9:00am again at Penn against #8 Denison or top seed Middlebury.

Stay tuned for Men's Squash CSA Team Championship next week February 24-26.
