Waterville, Maine- Colby College Women's Track and Field hosted the first meet of the season against the Central Maine Community College Mustangs, the Thomas College Terriers, and the University of Maine at Farmington Beavers. The Mules earned a score of 118 points to best all teams, with a margin of 45 points, and earn the first place victory to round out the first meet of the season.
In addition to four top-ten performances in the history of the program by the Mules, sophomore
Anna Mackey achieved a time of 1:39.55 to earn the first place victory in the Women's 600 Meters. All top-five finishers in the Women's 600 Meters were Colby runners. Sadé Greenidge earned a career-high time and the first place win in the Women's 400 Meters. In her first collegiate competition, freshman
Simone Waheed earned first-placed finishes in two separate races, the Women's 60 Meters, in which she battled to the end for a 0.01 margin of victory, and first-place in the Women's 200 Meters. Waheed earned DIII New England qualifying times in both events.
Erin Daugherty too earned a DIII New England qualifying time with a first place victory in the Women's 60 Hurdles.
Isabel Llach continues a reign of dominant performances by hitting the 1.52m mark to finish on top of the podium for the Women's High Jump.
On January 13th, Colby College Women's Track and Field will begin the new year in Norton, Massachusetts and Brunsiwck, Maine competing against the Wheaton College Lyons and Bowdoin College Polar Bears, respectively.
