Waterville, Maine - The Colby Women's Tennis team took on Endicott College this Sunday in their first dual-team match. They won in a commanding fashion, with a team score of 9-0.

The Mules got off to a strong start in doubles with senior captain
Sam Riordan and first year
Michaela Landry winning 8-4 at the number one spot. At line two, Sophomore
Amelie Gal and senior captain
Sydney Landau won by a score of 8-2. At line three, first year
Jade Finestone paired up with sophomore Bella Suk to win 8-3.

In singles play, Colby collectively dropped only eleven games on the way to a six match sweep. At line one and two, Riordan and Landau won 6-2, 6-3 and 6-0, 6-1 respectively.

Ellie Gershaw then picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win. At line four, sophomore
Maddie Omicioli won 6-1, 6-1. Rounding out the matches, at line five and six, the Mules saw Landry winning 6-1, 6-0 and Finestone winning 6-0, 6-1.

Landau commented on the match saying, "for the first dual match of the season we went out with guns blazing and didn't stop! Overall, super proud of the team and cannot wait for the Middlebury Invite!"

The Mules resume tournament play as they compete next at the Middlebury Panther Challenge on Friday, October 13th to wrap up the fall season.Â
