Brunswick, Maine - The Colby College Women's Basketball team took on in-state conference rival Bowdoin Saturday for a matinee matchup leading to a Polar Bears win 52-43. The Mules are now 6-10 on the season while being 2-3 in conference play.
Colby matched the hosts 16-16 in the 2nd quarter leading to a halftime score of 26-27 with the Mules only down one. The team shared the ball well in the first half as
Caroline Smith netted six points followed by
Chelsea Ibenegbu,
Lydia Mordarski, and
Mackenzie Younker all contributing five. In the second half, the Polar Bears pulled away leading to the 43-52 loss for Colby. Smith finished with 12 points as Mordarski ended with 10 points and eight rebounds followed by
Carter McGloon with six points and seven rebounds.
The Mules will take on another rival in Thomas College back at home Tuesday the 24th for their next matchup.
