Waterville, Maine - The Colby Women's Soccer team opened the Leone era with a dominating win over the Thomas College Terriers.
The Mules applied the pressure early with a series of menacing attacks. They knotted their first in the 13th minute when
Kaleigh Quinn drove into the box and netted her first of two goals on the night. The Mules were held at 1-0 despite controlling possession throughout the half until the 41st minute when Jadyn Lieberman scored. This kicked off the Mules goal scoring as she scored another less then a minute later on an assist by
Murphy Leung.
The Mules did not let up in the second half scoring four goals in a 17 minute span. All goals were scored by different players with
Kylie Thorp,
Jackie Portogallo and
Jane Maguire netting their first of the season and Quinn scoring her second on the day. The goal of the match didn't come until the 87th minute when
