Middletown, Conn. - The Colby Women's Soccer team traveled to Wesleyan University on Saturday to take on the fourth ranked Cardinals in the NESCAC opener.
The game remained deadlocked at 0-0 until the 30th minute when the Cardinals were able to put one past the Mules defense. They added another five minutes later but the Mules held even through the rest of the half. Colby entered the second half on the attack putting shots on target and testing the Wesleyan defense.
It remained at 2-0 until the 70th minute when the Cardinals added there third. The Mules finished with 9 shots and 3 shots on target.
Colby will be back in action on Wednesday when they host the Husson University Eagles. That game will kick off at 6pm on the Bill Alfond Field. They continue NESCAC play next weekend against Trinity.
