Waterville, Maine- The Colby College Field Hockey Team opened up their 2022 season with a non-conference matchup against the University of Maine Farmington Beavers. The Mules dominated play, winning the game 7-0.

Jackie Hill started the scoring for Colby with her first goal on a penalty corner just under three minutes into the game.
Kaitlyn Smith would also find the back of the net to give the Mules a quick 2-0 lead. Colby showcased strong offense and possession against Farmington allowing the Mules to capitalize on many offensive opportunities. Junior
Lillian Kistner would finish the game three goals and freshman
Claire Welch would tally her first collegiate goal.
Harri Baker played in net today for Colby, facing no shots from the Beavers.

The Mules will head down to Middletown, Connecticut for their first NESCAC matchup of the season on Saturday, September 10, at noon. Â
