Field Hockey Falls to Wesleyan

Middletown, Connecticut- Colby Field Hockey battled against Wesleyan University earlier this afternoon, in their first NESCAC matchup of the season.

Wesleyan jumped out to a 1-0 over the Mules with seven seconds left in the first quarter. In the following quarter, Colby battled against the Cardinals, finally being awarded their first penalty corners of the match. The Cardinals jumped out to a 2-0 lead but was quickly answered on a penalty corner goal by junior Lillian Kistner to cut the lead in half.

The Mules pressured Wesleyan in the following two quarters but were unable to find the back of the cage. The Cardinals would score once more to make the final score 3-1. Junior Emily Loeb started in goal for Colby, making three saves on the day.
