Waterville, Maine- The Colby Field Hockey Team matched up against the Amherst College Mammoths earlier today in a NESCAC game.
 
Colby entered the game with a 3-3 record looking to make a strong impact against the twelfth ranked team in the country. Amherst got on the board early against the Mules, but Colby was able to answer with seconds remaining in the first quarter, with Molly Mitchell getting the ball to cross the goal line in a battle in front of the net.
 
The Mammoths would be able to knock five more goals in against the Mules to take a 6-1 win over Colby.
 
The Mules play next weekend in Medford, Mass. against the Tufts University Jumbos with the game slated to begin at 1 PM.
