Medford, Mass.- The Colby Field Hockey team travelled down to Tufts University to take on the third ranked Jumbos in a NESCAC matchup. The Mules were looking for their first NESCAC win of the season and would find it with a strong 2-1 victory.

Tufts jumped out to a 1-0 lead over Colby eleven minutes into the game. The Mules were able to shut down Tufts following their goal, led by Junior
Emily Loeb who had an outstanding nine saves. Colby scored goals from
Hig Sevigny, who tied the game five minutes into the second quarter, and
Pernilla Shaw would knock in the game-winner with nine minutes left to play in the fourth.

This is Colby's first win against Tufts since the 2003 season, and their first NESCAC win of the season.

The Mules play again this Tuesday at Thomas College, game slated to start at 7PM.
