MMA Hands Colby First Loss of the Season

Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Volleyball team receives its first loss of the season after losing to undefeated (9-0) Maine Maritime Academy three sets to one (20-25, 25-22, 20-25, 25-27).

The Mules were able to keep every set close but were unable to finish out the sets efficiently. MMA's Rachel Melampy was a problem for Colby as she put up 17 kills on the night. LJ Grant had no issues as usual attacking the net leading the Mules with 15 kills, followed by Emma Davis with 12 and Hannah Wyllie with eight. 

Colby Volleyball will now go back on the road to face Brandeis University on Friday at the neutral site of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.
