Biddeford, Maine- Colby Field Hockey traveled down to play the University of New England last night in their second non-conference game of the season.

The Mules picked up an early goal halfway through the first quarter, where
Jackie Hill gave Colby an early 1-0 lead, an assist going to sophomore
Casey Winslow. With no scoring in the second quarter, the Mules would carry this lead to the second half of the match.

Colby found their footing in the third quarter, scoring two goals from Winslow and freshman
Lily Harrington, her first collegiate goal. Colby's defense held strong this quarter to keep the Mules at a 3-0 advantage. UNE broke through Colby's defense to get on the board with five minutes remaining in the game. The Mules were able to fend off a strong game-ending effort from the Nor' Easters to secure the 3-1 win. The Mules are back in action this weekend with a NESCAC matchup on Saturday, September 17, at noon against #5 Trinity College.
