Box Score Middlebury, VT - The Colby College Women's Tennis Team was defeated by the Middlebury Panthers by a score of 8-1 on Saturday, April 30th. The Mules barely fell at #1 doubles, where
Sam Riordan and
Sydney Landau fell 8-6. The Panthers took the other two doubles by 8-0 and 8-3 scorelines at #2 and #3 doubles respectively.
In the singles,
Sam Riordan defeated her opponent by 6-0, 6-3 score to win at #1 singles. The win marks
Sam Riordan's third straight win at #1 singles after defeating top players from Tufts and Wesleyan. Riordan is stepping up to the fill the spot vacated by
Carly Levitz, who is out with Covid-19. The Panthers dominated in the other singles matches however, with the second closest match being
Katharine Dougherty's 3-6, 3-6 loss at #4 singles.Â
