Winners Announced for 34th Senior Sports Awards

Waterville, Maine - Thursday night marked the 34th Annual Senior Sports Awards, held in the Indoor Competition Center of the Harold Alfond Athletics and Recreation Center.  Celebrating the 146 senior student-athletes, ten awards were announced.  

Bill Millett '25 Award - Presented to the Male and Female student-athletes who have contributed the most to Colby Athletics in their four years. 
  Sharde Johnson - Women's Track & Field
  Justin Grillo - Men's Ice Hockey

Patty Valavanis '80 AwardPresented to a female student-athlete with qualities of academic and athletic excellence and personal leadership and sportsmanship.
  Nina Prünster - Women's Ice Hockey

Richard L. Whitmore Jr. Award - Presented to a male student-athlete with qualities of academic and athletic excellence and service to the College. 
  WIll Solow - Nordic Skiing

Marjorie D. Bither Award - Presented to a female student-athlete for academic and athletic ability, and leadership in athletics and on campus. 
  Carly Levitz - Women's Tennis

Donald P. Lake '55 Award - Presented to a male student-athlete for academic and athletic ability, and leadership in athletics and on campus. 
  Brett Holmes - Football

Pamela Hoyt-Sanborn '87 Award - Presented to a female student-athlete for inspirational leadership.
  Eliza Dean - Women's Lacrosse

Norman White '50 Award - Presented to a male student-athlete for inspirational leadership
  Tyler Burt - Men's Squash

Warren J. Finegan '51 Award - Presented to a male or female student for significant behind the scenes contribution to the success of Colby Athletics. 
  Katelyn Angeli - Athletics

Mule Impact Award - Given annually to a member of the faculty or staff who has provided extraordinary support to Colby Athletics.
