Box Score Waterville, ME - The Colby College Women's Tennis Team defeated visiting Connecticut College by a score of 9-0 on Saturday, April 9th. The Mules dominated in the doubles, with the #12 ranked doubles team in the region in
Carly Levitz and
Lindsey Hernandez taking an 8-0 win at the #1 position.
Katharine Dougherty and
Emilia Callery were also perfect at the #3 position with an 8-0 win. Despite being down 2-5,
Sam Riordan and
Sydney Landau rallied to win 8-5 at the #2 position to give the Mules a perfect 3-0 start heading into singles.
Levitz made quick work of her match at the #1 position, defeating her opponent 6-2, 6-0. All other positions were equally as dominant, as every Mule won in straight sets. Callery slotted in at the #6 position for her second feature in the lineup this season, and she was clinical in her approach, using her consistency and patience to win 6-0, 6-1.Â
It was Senior Day for Dougherty, Levitz, Callery, Hernandez and
Olivia Scordo. All 5 made huge impacts on the program, lifting the team to new heights and new best team and individual rankings. Come watch them in their already impressive season!
