Mules Tight With Camels Into 4th Quarter

New London, Conn. - The Colby Men's Lacrosse Team took a two-goal deficit into the fourth corner but could not overcome the gap as Conn. College scored five unanswered goals down the stretch to pull away for a 16-9 victory on Saturday.

With time ticking down in the third quarter, Nick Hassan scored his fourth of the contest followed quickly by a tally by Matt Savage, closing Conn. College's early lead to 8-11.  Entering the fourth period, a quick score by Jack Goller closed the gap to two, and the Mules were within striking distance.  The Camel offense took over from there, scoring five unanswered goals to close out the game.  Hassan was the leading scorer for Colby, with Goller and Jack Rickards netting two apiece.

Colby is back in action Wednesday night for their final non-conference match of the season, hosting Thomas College at 7:00pm.
