Weston to be Inducted in NATA HOF

Carrollton, Texas - The National Athletic Trainers' Association announced the 2022 NATA National Honors and Awards Class last week, and long time Colby Athletic Trainer Tim Weston was at the front of the pack.  He was one of only six individuals named in this year's Hall of Fame class, and marks only the fifth member selected from the state of Maine since the organization began inductions in 1962.  With 250 members honored since that inaugural year, NATA has now identified four individuals from NESCAC institutions, with Colby leading the way with two (legendary athletic trainer Carl Nelson was inducted in 1986).

"I am truly honored and humbled to be inducted into the NATA Hall of Fame," said Weston. "To join Carl means so much to me as he has been one of my mentors from the very beginning both professionally and personally.  It is a true credit to Colby for allowing myself and Carl to have the opportunities to give back to the Athletic Training profession that we love so much."

Honorees exemplify the mission of NATA through significant and lasting contributions that enhance the quality of health care provided by athletic trainers and advance the profession. Weston will officially be inducted this coming summer on June 29th at the 73rd NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo in Philadelphia, Penn.
