Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Colby Falls To Tough Emory Team 80-66

Waterville, MAINE- Colby took on Emory on day two of the UAA/NESCAC Challenge. The Mules faced their stiffest competition of the season as the visiting Eagles were able to hang around and compete with them. Colby's weak shooting performance in the second half allowed Emory to overcome their halftime deficit and win. The loss drops the Mules to 8-1 and takes the Eagles to 6-1.

After getting off to a hot start against Brandeis yesterday, Colby needed help finding the same scoring touch and never gained much separation. The Mules capitalized on turnovers turning ten turnovers into 12 points but struggled to hit their shots. The Mules were led in the first half by 10 points from Noah Tyson and eight points from Lucas Green

The second half saw Colby struggle in the paint and give up 28 points, and they allowed Emory to hit nearly 60 percent of their shots overall. This allowed the Eagles to build a 14-point lead that the Mules would not be able to overcome. Colby's scoring came from Max Poulton with 11 points and Will King with nine.

The Mules will return to action on December 8th at 7 pm against the University of Maine- Farmington.
