Waterville, Maine - The Colby Women's Ice Hockey team faced off against the Bowdoin Polar Bears in the second game of a back-to-back series. The matchup also marked the third game in the span of seven days between the rivals. The Mules defeated the visitors 2-0 bringing them to 5-0-0 for the season and 2-0-0 in the NESCAC competition. Colby is the lone undefeated team in the conference.
In the final seconds of the game's first power play,
Tate Senden knocked in a goal off the point asssited by
Bri Michaud-Nolan and
Meg Rittenhouse. The Mules ended the first period up 1-0, and extended their lead early in the second period.
Courtney Schumacher made a nice move around the back of the goal, feeding
Breanna Studley for her second goal of the season. The score marked Schumacher's first collegiate assist and first collegiate point. Colby's defense was stellar, and the penalty-killing unit was undeterred and perfect in five power play attempts for the Polar Bears.

Mandy Busky saw her first start of the season in net, tallying 20 saves, a new career best.
