Biddeford, Maine - The Colby College Men's Soccer team broke a six-game tying streak to top the Nor'Easters of UNE, earning its first win since September 11. The Mules held the University of New England scoreless in a 2-0 victory, bringing their record to 3-1-6 for the season.
Aidan O'Brien scored his first goal of the season thirty-one minutes into the first half on an assist by Mario Simoes and Chase Dolinko. Junior Justin Lauer scored in the 46th minute on an assist by Eduardo Casanova. The feed marked Casanova's second assist of the season. Colby kept the defensive pressure on and goalkeeper Matt Moron was perfect in goal turning away both of UNE's shots. This is Colby's second straight win against UNE in a 6-0-1 series.
On Saturday the Mules travel to Middlebury to face off against the Panthers.
