Waterville, Maine- Colby Field Hockey closed out their 2022 season last night in a NESCAC matchup against Bates College.
 
Bates jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first twenty minutes against the Mules, who were able to cut the lead in half after Pernilla Shaw tipped in a ball sent from Jackie Mortell off of a penalty corner. Bates continued to pressure the Mules and score, despite the Mules playing well together. Colby would score their second goal of the game with ten minutes left on Mortell's first goal of the game, also off a penalty corner. The Mules would ultimately fall in their last game of the season 6-2, but displayed their ability to play together.
 
This game concludes the 2022 season for Colby, who would finish their season 6-9, undefeated in non-conference play, and earning their lone NESCAC win against the then #3 Tufts University.
