Shrewsbury, Mass.- The Colby Men's and Women's Crew Teams participated in their first competition of the year this past Saturday at the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta.
On the women's side the varsity eight which included;

Tori Richards,
Caroline Bedrosian,
Harriet Winterer,
Isabel Grimes,
Ellie Pohlig,
Molly George,
Eliza LaRovere ,and coxswain
Rhea Bakshi, ended in 10th place only ten seconds out of 6th place. Meanwhile, the 2nd varsity eight ended in 13th place, near the top of the 2nd varsity crews. The women's team also raced in the collegiate four finishing 9th out of 18, along with the women's novice eight who took 5th in their first-ever regatta.
Men and Women's Crews' next race is at the Head of the Charles in Cambridge, Massachusetts next weekend on October 22nd and October 23rd.
