Clinton, N.Y. - The Colby Women's Soccer Team finished off a NESCAC double header with a game against the Hamilton Continentals. They fell on the road to a strong Hamilton team 3-1.
The Mules started sluggishly perhaps showing their fatigue as the long season wears on. Hamilton was able to capitalize scoring three straight goals in succession. They dominated the first half outshooting the Mules 12-1 and building a 3-0 lead.
Colby looked to rebound in the second half and despite nearly 40 minutes between the last Hamilton goal, they got one of their own.
Jane Maguire got her third goal of the season on an assist from
Sophie Webb. Maguire who came off the bench was one of 12 Mules that came off the bench and saw playing time.
Colby managed eight shots throughout the half and despite holding Hamilton goalless from the 34th minute on could not come back from the early deficit.
The loss moves the Mules to 4-7 on the season. They play Connecticut College next weekend as the Camels come into town for homecoming.
