Hartford, Conn. - Colby Women's Hockey travelled to challenge Trinity College in night one of a two game series.  The Mules defeated the Bantams with a decisive 7-0 win.

Colby played a dominant game against the Bantams and outshot their opponents 52-22. Colby recorded their fifth shutout of the season with Nina Prunster between the pipes for the Mules. The Mules had six different goal scorers and six more with assists. Sophomore Meg Rittenhouse (pictured left) had an outstanding game with two goals, one assist, and seven shots on goal. The Mules scored twice off both power play opportunities, one of which coming from first-year Anna Staton, her first of her college career. Anya Jiang also recorded her first career goal against the Bantams, where Jillian Mazzocca and Stephanie Lane would record assists on the rookie's first goal. 

The Mules will play the Bantams again on Sunday in the second matchup of the series at 1 PM.
