Waterville, Maine- The Colby Mules hosted the Wesleyan Cardinals and had a dominating performance on both the Womens and Mens teams. The final scores of the meet were: Colby Women-161 Wesleyan Women-135 while the Colby Men-193.5 Wesleyan Men-106.5.

The story of the meet for the Mules was relays.  The Aquamules started off the meet on a strong note, with the 200 Medley Relays.  The Women won the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:47.69 (Skorina, Mackle, Paige, Tolan) and the Men won with a time of 1:35.60 (Bitting, Wiater, Rockett, Connors). Both sides finished strong with the 200 Freestyle Relay.  The Women took second with a time of 1:40.04 (Moy, Tuohy, Mayo, Griffin) while the men took places 1,2, and 3 with first place going 1:26.91 (Guentherman, Zhu, Wu, Rehkopf).

While Mule relays shined there were also incredible individual performances as well throughout the meet accumulating 19 first place finishes in the meet. For the Women, Junior Captain Ann Tolan gathered three first place finishes 50 Freestyle (23.99), 100 Freestyle (52.59), and 50 Butterfly (26.70), while Sophomore Eleanor McGrath picked up two First Place finishes on the Diving Boards with scores of 1 Meter (239.10) and 3 Meter (245.84). For the Men, Senior Captain John Connors picked up three individual wins in the 200 Freestyle (1:45.06), 50 Freestyle (21.27), and 100 Freestyle (47.53) while Sophomore Jerome Wiater picked up two first place finishes in the 50 Breaststroke (27.41) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:01.70). Jerome had this to say about the meet "Yesterdays meet with Wesleyan was a turning point in our season. Despite a month straight of consistent intense training many of our swimmers posted season or lifetime bests. This victory comes on the heels of an unsatisfactory matchup with Bates, after which we set out to improve the collective mentality and support for each other before and during the meet, and we plan on carrying this energy and momentum through the reast of the season and championship."

The Mules Take on Connecticut College and Bowdoin College next weekend.
