Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Win 2-0 Aginst Trinity

Hartford, Connecticut - Men's soccer played in Connecticut against the Trinity Bantams this weekend coming home victorious. The final box score was 2-0 moving Colby to 2-1 for the season and dropping Trinity's stats to 1-3. 

In the 5th and 6th minute of the first half Trinity made two shots on goal which Colby keeper Noah Jackson saved. Colby responded immediately. In the 10th minute of play when sophomore Mule, Ethan Franco, scored off of his own rebounded shot.  Franco's goal put the box score at 1-0  Mules leading. Aggressive play followed in the rest of the first half with multiple shots from each team, non of which were on goal until the last few minutes of the game. In the 39th minute of play Ethan Franco scored his second goal assisted by Ethan Fabricant.  One minute after the second goal,  Jered Garrison took a shot on net that was saved by the Trinity keeper. The first half ended at a score of 2-0.

The second half showed aggressive play from both teams. Although there were no shots on goal, the Colby Mules maintained possession of the field. Towards the end of the game yellow cards were dealt out on both sides as tensions rose and the clock ran out. The final box score was 2-0 with Mules in the lead. 

Men's soccer play again on Sunday at 1:30 pm at Colby, against Connecticut College.
