Waterville, MAINE - Colby Women's Soccer faced the Bowdoin Polar Bears on Sunday in their second game of Homecoming Weekend and 5th NESCAC game of the season. The game ended scoreless, bringing the Mules' record to 3-3-3.

On a day that celebrated five seniors (
Mannon Frykholm,
Jackie Himel,
Alessandra Marciano,
Juliette Nadeau,
Charlotte White), the Mules and the Polar Bears played 110 minutes of shutout soccer. Despite zeros on the board, this game saw a lot of action at both teams' goals. Colby goalkeepers
Emily McMaster '25 and
Ashley Boardman '23 preserved the net against various shots from Bowdoin, making nine saves all together. There were also shots by multiple Mules in the first and second halves, forcing the Polar Bears to match Colby on both halves of the field.

In extended play, the Polar Bears placed one shot on the Colby goal in the first period of overtime, scooped up by Boardman. The second round picked up the pace on both sides, with four shots on the goal by the Polar Bears and two from the Mules. The defenses and keepers for both teams remained rock-solid and error-free, ending the day in a 0-0 tie. Â

Colby Women's Soccer is next set to travel to Williams College to take on the Ephs on Saturday, October 9, at 11 AM EST.
