Amherst, MA - Colby Women's Soccer traveled to Massachusetts this weekend to face the Amherst Mammoths in their ninth NESCAC game of the season. The Mules fell to the Mammoths with a final score of 0-5.
The first half of the game proved difficult for the Mules, with the first goal made by Amherst in the fifteenth minute. The Mules still fought hard, with shots on the goal made by Kerrie Verbeek '23 and Mannon Frykholm '22. Nevertheless, the Mules were unable to stifle an additional two goals by the Mammoths by the end of the period.
The second half carried a similar tone to the first. Goalie Emily McMaster '25 made multiple saves at the goal. Yet, the Mammoths still successfully scored another two goals by the end of the game.
Colby Women's Soccer is next set to travel to Bates College for their final game of the season. The game will take place on Tuesday, October 26 at 7:30 PM.
