Amherst, Mass. - The Colby Field Hockey team traveled to Amherst College this past Saturday to take on the Mammoths in their second-to-last NESCAC matchup of the season. Colby was looking for their second conference win of the season and to potentially shake up the NESCAC standings before the conference tournament begins next weekend. 

Amherst was able to capitalize on penalty corners and chances of small defensive errors throughout the entirety of the match. Colby was out-shot by the Mammoths 25-7, and Amherst was able to land four for a 4-0 victory. For Colby, Hattie Baker recorded thirteen saves, Megan Rittenhouse and Lauryn Nelson also notching their own defensive saves. Kaitlyn Smith led the team with three shots on the day, while four other Mules were able to take a shot. 

The Mules are back in action on Tuesday night against Bates College at 7PM for their last regular season match of the season down in Lewiston, Maine.
