Box Score Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Men's Basketball team bounce back after their first loss of the year with a 78-74 win over the Hamilton College Continentals.
GAME NOTES
- The first half consisted of multiple ties and lead changes with both teams getting on hot streaks. Hamilton came out getting the first four points of the game but with the help of Matt Hanna and Sam Jefferson the Mules roared right back. Hanna and Jefferson combined to go 6-7 from three. Kena Gilmour of Hamilton had 19 points in the first half. The second half was much of the same back and forth action throughout. In the end Colby was able to make some timely shots to seal the deal and take a 78-74 victory.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE MULES
- As they have done all year, Colby used a balanced scoring attack to get the win. Five players scored in double figures.
- Hanna led the way with 20 points going 6-7 from the field. He was also perfect from beyond the arc going 4-4.
- Jefferson had 14 points for the Mules going 6-9.
Alex Dorion and Dean Weiner (photo inset) each pitched in 14 points. Dorion went 5-14 while Weiner hit 6-8.
- Will King added 10 points.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE CONTINENTALS
- Kena Gilmour led all scorers with 39 points shooting 14-16 from the field. He was also perfect from the line going 9-9.
- Eric Anderson had 11 for the Continentals while Spencer Kendall pitched in seven points.
- Gilmour is leading the NESCAC in points per game with 22.5 while Kendall is fifth in the conference with a 56.9% field goal percentage.

- There were 12 ties and 11 lead changes in the game.
- The Mules are currently ranked 2nd in the NESCAC standings and #9 in the D3Hoops.com poll.
