KEY STATS:

  • The NESCAC leading scorer (Sam Jefferson) and fifth leading scorer (Matt Hanna) were relatively held in check.  Jefferson scored 22 points, but did most of his work from inside connecting on only three 3-pointers.  Hanna was held to 14 points on 4-11 shooting.
  • While Colby continues to attack opponents from afar (19-36 from 3-point range), Bowdoin used its size advantage inside to try to keep the Mules close.  The Polar Bears only connected on seven three pointers.

QUOTE:  "I love how we responded coming out after halftime," said the Richard L. Whitmore Jr. Head Coach for Colby Men's Basketball Damien Strahorn.  "We were able to find the combination of stops and offensive momentum that led to a great second half.  I thought Bowdoin did a nice job of closing down space on Sam Jefferson and our ability to get different guys involved on the offensive end was critical."

NEXT MATCHUP:  The Mules open conference games next weekend when they host Conn. College Friday night at 7:00pm followed by Trinity College on Saturday at 3:00pm.
