Box Score Waterville, ME – The Colby College Men's Basketball team closed out the weekend of conference matchups with a 91-77 victory against the Trinity College Bantams.
GAME NOTES
- The Mules started out on a 10-0 run to begin the first half but the Bantams used their own 6-0 run to get right back into it. Trinity was able to get the best of Colby in the first half taking a 44-37 lead at halftime. The Mules came out in the second half looking to keep their undefeated record intact and used hot shooting to do just that. Colby outscored Trinity 54-33 to take a 91-77 home win.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE MULES
- Colby had four players score in double figures including a double-double from Noah Tyson with 24 points and 14 rebounds.
Will King (photo insert) added 18 points going 7-11 from the field.
- Sam Jefferson pitched in 11 points while Alex Dorion had 18 points.
- Dorion and Tyson scored 12 and 16 points in the second half to help Colby get the come from behind win.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE BANTAMS
- Donald Jorden led the way for the Bantams with 8 points. He also pulled down seven rebounds. He was 3-3 from the field.
- Kyle Padmore pitched in seven points while D.J. Smith added four points off the bench for Trinity.
- Trinity went 45.5% from the field and scored 40 points in the paint.
KEY STATS
- There were four lead changes in the game and four ties.
- In the second half the Mules shot 52.9% from beyond the arc and 47.4% from the field.
NEXT MATHUP
- Colby will play at Middlebury College, on Friday January 17 at 7:00 PM followed up by a game at Williams College on Saturday January 18 at 3:00 PM.
