Colby wins big at home against Connecticut College to stay undefeated

Waterville, ME – The Colby College Men's Basketball team take record to 12-0 with an 83-50 home victory over the Connecticut College Camels.

GAME NOTES

  • The Camels started out the game on a 5-0 run but The Mules would take back the lead with 16:46 left in the first half and never looked back from there taking a 46-22 lead into halftime. Colby picked up right where they left off and continued to extend their lead in the second half to close out the Camels with an 83-50 win.  

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE MULES

  • All five Colby starters scored in double figures on the night.
  • Noah Tyson (photo insert) and Sam Jefferson led all scorers with 16 points. Jefferson finished shooting 7-11 from the field while Tyson hit 5-9 shots taken. Tyson also hit 50% from three.
  • Alex Dorion finished with 15 points shooting 5-11 from the field and 5-10 from beyond the arc.
  • Matt Hanna finished with 14 points on the night and had five assists.
  • Will King had 10 points for Colby.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE CAMELS

  • Ben McPherron led the way for the Camels with 10 points. He went 2-3 from three and 4-11 from the field.
  • Justin Nwafor and Daniel Draffan each had eight points. Nwafor was 4-4 from the field while Draffan pulled down four rebounds for Connecticut College.
  • Austin Nwafor and Chris Towey pitched in seven points apiece.

  • The Mules are currently #12 in the D3hoops.com poll moving up five spots from their previous ranking.
  • After going down by five points to start the game, The Mules held the lead for the remainder of the game.
  • Colby as a team went 46.4% from the field and 75% from the free throw line.
