Mules run away from Chargers to stay unbeaten with 101-69 victory

New London, NH – The Colby College Men's Basketball team continued its winning streak with a 101-69 victory over the Colby-Sawyer Chargers.

GAME NOTES

  • The Mules stay undefeated at 9-0 with a road victory at Colby-Sawyer College. Colby was able to keep the Chargers at a comfortable distance throughout the first half and led by 14 points at intermission. Colby was able to extend their lead in the second half and never let Colby-Sawyer get back in game. The Mules ran away with a 101-69 road win.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE MULES

  • The Mules had three players score 20 points or more on the night. Noah Tyson (headline photo) led the way hitting 11 of the 17 shots he took from the field and was 7-12 from three point range. He had 29 points and nine rebounds. Tyson is third in the NESCAC with 9.2 rebounds per game.
  • Sam Jefferson and Wallace Tucker each added 21 points.
  • Will King (photo insert) dished out 13 assists for Colby and had 8 rebounds.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE CHARGERS

  • Dana Bean was the high scorer for the Chargers with 16 points. He also pulled down nine rebounds.
  • Scott Lampron pitched in eight points while Jake Lorman had nine. Lorman went 3-5 from the field and 2-3 from three point land.

KEY STATS

  • Colby shot 51.2% from the field as a team, hitting 41-80 shots taken.
  • The Mules went 14-36 from beyond the arc.
  • Colby scored over 100 points for the fifth time this season.
