WATERVILLE, Maine -- Alex Spafford and Alex Kurtin both won come-from-behind matches in five sets for 25th-ranked Colby College in a 7-2 loss to Bates College at the Dunaway Courts.

 

The match was tight, with Bates winning two points on five-set matches and two others that went four sets. 

 

Spafford won at the second position with a 12-10, 5-11, 9-11, 11-5, 11-5 win against Mahmoud Yousry. Meanwhile, Kurtin also had a comeback with an 8-11, 11-4, 9-11, 13-11, 11-9 victory against Coley Cannon.
