WATERVILLE, Maine -- Brooks Parker worked six innings for the win and Frank Driscoll earned his first collegiate save for the Colby College baseball team in a 2-1 win over University of Maine at Presque Isle in the first game of a doubleheader Sunday at Coombs Field.
The Mules received the first collegiate win from Alex Wieder in a 7-2 win over the Owls in the nightcap. Colby improved to 7-22 overall, while the Owls ended the season at 4-27.
Game 1 highlights
* Parker struck out seven and walked none, while Driscoll (pictured) worked the seventh inning and had one strikeout.
* UMPI pitcher Matt Curry allowed just one earned run, struck out five, and walked one over six innings. He also scored the lone run for the Owls on an RBI groundout by Colby Spencer.
Game 2 highlights
* Wieder allowed one earned run, struck out two, and walked none over four innings in the second game.
Patrick Carbone pitched two innings and had all six outs by strikeout, while
William Wessman threw the ninth inning.

Tyler Mulberry went 2-for-2 and scored two runs for Colby. Wessman also had two hits and drove in two runs, while
