Women's hockey has fine start in setback to Hawks

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- The Colby College women's hockey team got off to a 2-0 lead over Saint Anselm College, but the Hawks battled back for a 3-2 non-conference victory Tuesday.

The Mules dropped to 1-5-1 overall, but three of the losses have been by one goal. Saint Anselm improved to 10-1.
 
Game highlights
* The Mules took a 1-0 lead on Hailey Rohall's (pictured) first collegiate goal at 8:56 of the opening period. Cassidy Holzer added her second assist of the season.
 
* Tay Munson made it 2-0 at 1:31 of the second period on an unassisted goal.
 
* The Hawks scored at 5:41 and 12:00 of the second period to tie the game. Caley Mueller had the game-winning goal at 8:24 of the third period.
 
* Colby goalie Savannah Shaw stopped 23 shots.
 
Next on the schedule
Colby will close out first semester play with Saturday's home game with University of Massachusetts at Boston at 7 p.m. The Mules are 1-0-1 at Alfond Rink this season.
