Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

WALTHAM, Mass. — Tori Sansone had four RBI in the first two innings of the second game to lift the Colby College softball team to a 7-1 win over Brandeis University in non-conference play Sunday.

The Judges won the first game by an 8-0 score in five innings.
The Mules improved to 9-13 overall and finished 3-2 over three days against Bowdoin and Brandeis.
Katie McLaughlin, Skylar Labbe, and Emily Schatz had hits for Colby in the first game.
Brandeis (12-13 overall) only led 2-0 in the top of the fourth inning, but scored four runs in the fourth and added two more in the fifth.
In the nightcap, Colby's McLaughlin and Robin Spofford both reached on errors in the first inning. Sansone doubled to center field to bring in both runners. Paige Hartnett doubled later in the inning to score Skylar Labbe.
Colby benefited from a Brandeis error, a hit batter, and a bunt to put runners in scoring position for Sansone. She made the Judges pay with a two-run single to push the lead to 5-0 after two innings.
The Mules made it 6-0 when Kathleen Mason had an RBI single in the top of the third inning.
Brandeis scored its lone run in the bottom of the third inning off of Julia Saul, who pitched a complete game, struck out two, and walked just one.
Colby added another unearned run in the top of the seventh inning. Hartnett's sacrifice fly to center field scored Labbe.
The Mules will host Husson University on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in a doubleheader.
