Colby College

Tim Weston is the Director of Sports Medicine and Associate Athletic Director at Colby College where he has been since 1992. He supervises six staff athletic trainers and serves as the NCAA Athletics Healthcare Administrator. 

Weston did his undergraduate work at the University of Maine, earning a bachelor’s degree in 1988 and his master’s degree from University of Maine at Orono in Educational Leadership in 2004.

Weston previously served the Maine Athletic Trainers Association (MATA) in various leadership roles. He then went on to serve as the NATA District One Secretary and District One Director. During his time as Board of Director he was liaison to the Honors and Awards committees and served as chair of the NATA Finance committee.  He recently served as mentor on the NATA Student Leadership Committee.

Presently he serves on the long term planning committee for the EATA, the editorial advisory board for the NATA news and as the Chair of the NATA Presidential Oversight Task Force.

Weston has received the NATA’s Service Award, the Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award and has been inducted into both the MATA and NATA Hall of Fame as well as the EATA ’49 club.

Tim currently resides in Waterville, Maine with his wife Karin. He has two grown daughters Abigail and Sofie.
