A 2002 graduate of Colby, Danny Noyes enters his seventh year in an administrative role in the 2025-26 academic year.  From 2007-2019 he was the head coach of Men's and Women's Alpine Skiing.  In his first year as the Associate Athletic Director for Communications and Digital Display, follower count for Colby Athletics social media handle @themules nearly doubled and the Mule Weekly Recap was created to bring weekly updates to alumni, parents, and students through the engaging Adobe Spark platform.  In his second year, the Mules transitioned to a new website supported by Sidearm Sports and moved into the new Harold Alfond Athletics and Recreation Center, a state of the art facility with expansive digital display options throughout.

During his 12-year tenure leading the ski team, Noyes coached the Mules to 12 NCAA Division I All-American awards and 35 USCSCA Academic All-American distinctions.  His teams won four Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) Carnivals, and finished in the top-10 at NCAA Division I Championships eighteen times with 5th place finishes in 2008, 2009, 2014, and 2015.

As a coach, Noyes held administrative duties within the Athletic Department with the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the Faculty Liaison program, Mules Against Violence, as the department liaison to Communications, and also two years as the wide receiver coach for the football team.  From 2009-14 he held responsibilities within Sports Information bringing webcasting to Colby, first with First Team Broadcasting and then through Northeast Sports Network, the current broadcasting partner of Colby Athletics.  Other responsibilities within Sports Information included organizing the Senior Sports Awards committee and selections, creating yearly highlights, assisting with management of online rosters, and hiring and training students for webcasting and statistics.

Noyes earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Colby in 2002 and a Master of Education from St. Lawrence University in 2005.

A member of the football team while a student, Noyes won the Bill Millett Award as Colby's "senior athlete who contributed the most to Colby Athletics in his/her four years."  As head coach of the Alpine Ski team, he helped guide three of his own athletes to the same distinction.  Currently in the Colby record book for six receiving records including career marks for receptions and receiving yards, Noyes was named to the All-NESCAC first team as a junior and senior as well as the New England Division II/III first team the same years presented by the New England Football Writers.  As a senior he was named to the D3Football.com National Team of the Week for his performance of nine receptions for 209 yards (Colby record), two touchdowns, and 65 rushing yards en route to a 42-0 victory over Bates.

Noyes currently resides in nearby Augusta with his wife Erin and three children, Anderson, Davis, and Nolan.  He is involved in the community as a volunteer for various local youth sports programs.
