Benji Oxman joined the Colby Men's Basketball program as an Assistant Coach ahead of the 2025-26 academic year. Oxman’s coaching resume includes experience at various levels. His responsibilities with the team include assisting with on-court instruction, recruiting, scouting, and player development.
Oxman brings seven years of collegiate basketball experience to Mayflower Hill. Prior to Colby, he served as Assistant Coach at Oglethorpe University for the 2024-2025 season, where he helped achieve a 16-10 record as the set a regular season scoring record (86.3 ppg). Prior to Oglethorpe, Oxman served two years as a Graduate Assistant for Belmont University’s men’s basketball team (2022-2024). During his time at Belmont, he helped the team achieve a 41-23 record in their first two seasons as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference.
As a head coach for the 17u Atlanta Timberwolves AAU organization for three seasons (2019-2021 and 2025), Oxman led his teams to a 70-46 record and helped 25 of his players get recruited nationally. He worked three seasons as a manager for the University of South Carolina’s men’s basketball team (2018-2021) and gained experience as a scout with Relentless Hoops (2021-2022).
Oxman is a 2022 graduate from the University of South Carolina where he earned his Bachelor Degree in Science in Sport and Entertainment Management. In 2024 he earned his Master of Sport Administration from Belmont University.
