Adam Canfield enters his third year as Assistant Director of Sports Information and Communications at Colby College in the 2025–26 academic year.
Canfield earned his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Thomas College in the spring of 2025. Later that year, he was selected as one of just 30 participants in the second Division III Athletic Communicators Emerging Elite Program.
Canfield joined Colby in 2022 as a Sports Information and Communications Specialist following his graduation from Dean College with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management. He was promoted to Assistant Director the following year. Canfield's primary responsibilities include statistics, roster and website management, news releases, social media strategy, video production, and the supervision of student workers.
Before arriving on Mayflower Hill, Canfield gained extensive athletics communication experience at Dean College, where he worked in game operations and statistical input across multiple sports. He also contributed to game day operations and statistics with the Providence Bruins and completed an internship with Grafton High School focused on event management.
A Fryeburg, Maine native and 2018 graduate of Fryeburg Academy, Canfield now resides in Winslow with his fiancée, Kayla, and their two cats.
