Summer Internship/Work Experience: Nicole was an EXPLO instructor and has experience working with children through being a long-time camp counselor. At Colby, Nicole is a Colby Cares About Kids mentor and advisory board member, and a member of Best Buddies and Women in Math and Computer Science. She is a Math Department teaching assistant and an Community Advisor on campus.
Plans After Colby: "I hope to pursue a Master's degree on my way to becoming a secondary level math teacher."
2019 season highlights: In her senior year, Petherbridge played in every match and finished with the best season of her career. She led the team with 222 kills and 2.13 kills/set, as well as total blocks with 49. She was second on the team in service aces with 45, and third on the team in digs with 192. Nicole was elected to the NESCAC Fall All-Sportsmanship team and is a 3-time nomination to the All-Academic team. She was also named to the All-Tournament Team for the Hall of Fame Tournament at Smith College.
2018 season highlights: Petherbridge played in 20 matches for the Mules and finished the season with 1.31 kills per set and 88 kills overall. She also had nine service aces and 57 defensive digs.
2017 season highlights: Nicole was third on the Mules in kills (118), second in blocks (30), and second in hitting percentage (.161). She also had 35 defensive digs and 15 service aces. Petherbridge was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.
2016 season highlights: Petherbridge appeared in every match in her first season with the Mules. She finished third on the team in blocks (44) and also recorded 68 kills, 41 digs, and eight service aces.
