Why I chose Colby: "I chose Colby because of how at home I felt here. I enjoyed my time on campus, as well as the interaction I had with my soon to be coaches and teammates. I knew that Colby's academics were incredibly rigorous, and that it would afford me great opportunities after graduation."
Internship/Work Experience: Emily was a Biology Lab Assistant at Brandeis University.
Favorite Place on Campus: Benches by Johnson Pond
Most Memorable Team Experience: "My freshman year, my entire grade came back to the locker room after practice to decorate it before our Senior Game. We spent hours putting up streamers and filling the Senior's lockers with shirts and small party favors. The next day, we all waited for the Seniors to come in so that we could celebrate their four years on the team. It was a touching moment that involved hard work from everyone on the team."
Plans After Colby: "After Colby, I plan to go to law school. Thereafter, I hope to write legislation for environmental advocacy groups, such as the NRDC."
What do you think of the new Athletic Center?: "I was incredibly excited to be able to use the new Athletic Center. A lot of thought and time went into creating a space that works not only for the teams, but for the Colby community at large."
2020 Season Highlights: Emily started in goal in five of the team's six games in 2020. She recorded 35 total saves and a 43.2 season save percentage. The sophomore recorded a season-high 15 saves in the Mules' final game of the year vs. Bowdoin on March 12th.
2019 Season Highlights: The first year appeared in nine games, five of which were starts. Emily posted a 46.0 save percentage after making 58 saves in 360:55 minutes of work.
