Michaela graduated from the Maine School of Science & Math.

Michaela is a Psychology major with a concentration in Neuroscience at Colby.

2017 outdoor season highlights: Michaela continued her spectacular 2017 track and field season by breaking her own school record and winning the hammer throw (174-7) at the NESCAC Championships. She earned All-NESCAC honors in the hammer throw and for finishing second in the discus throw. Garrett placed 17th in the hammer at the NCAA meet and fourth in the event at the New England Division III Championships. She had wins in the hammer throw at the MIT Last Chance meet, the Aloha Relays at Bowdoin, the Tufts Sunshine Classic, and the Bowdoin Invitational. She was second in the discus at the Aloha Relays, the Tufts event, and the Bowdoin Invitational. Michaela was second in the shot put at Bowdoin and third in the javelin at Tufts. Garrett was on the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team.

2017 indoor season highlights: Garrett broke her own school record four times during the season in the weight throw. She won the Maine State Championship and New England Division III Championships in the weight throw, including a season-best toss of 59-8.5 at the New England meet. She also finished third at the New England Open Championships in the event and took 10th place at the NCAA meet. Michaela had other wins in the hammer at the Wheaton, Bowdoin, Southern Maine, and MIT (with Bates) meets. Garrett also won the shot put at the USM meet and took third at states. She was named to the NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team.

2016 outdoor season highlights: Michaela had a terrific season, earning a NESCAC title and all-league honors in the hammer throw. She also placed second and set a school record with a toss of 168-0 in the hammer at the ECAC meet. Garrett also took third place in the event at the New England Division III Championships. She also placed sixth in the shot put and eighth in the discus (35.51 meters personal best) at the conference meet. Michaela earned NESCAC Spring All-Academic honors. Garrett started the outdoor season at the Aztec Open, with a third-place finish in the hammer throw and a fourth in the discus. At the PLNU Invitational, Michaela was second in the hammer throw, a seventh and personal best of 11.23 meters in the shot put, and a 13th in the discus. Michaela had two wins in the hammer throw and discus at the Colby Open while also taking second in the javelin (31.05 personal best) and shot put. 

2016 indoor season highlights: Garrett opened the season finishing first in the weight throw and fourth in the shot put at both the Bates Invitational and the Bowdoin Invitational. Then competing in the weight throw, Michaela took first at the Maine State Championships, 10th at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, 14th at the Open New England Championships, and third at the Tufts Final Qualifying Meet. She was named to the NESCAC Winter All-Academic team and set a Colby record in the weight throw at the Bowdoin Invitational.

2015 outdoor season highlights: Garrett opened the season at the Jim Sheehan Memorial, taking fifth in the hammer and eighth in the shot put. At the Colby Invitational, Garrett took fourth in the shot put, discus, and hammer. At the Bowdoin Invitational, Michaela took fifth in the shot put, first in the hammer, and second in the discus. At the NESCAC Championships, Garrett finished her season by taking 10th in the hammer, 12th in the discus, and 14th in the shot put.

2015 indoor season highlights: Garrett started the season strong by taking second in the weight throw and third in the shot put at the USM Invitational. She then took third and sixth in the same events at the Bates Invitational, fifth and 12th at the Bowdoin Invitational, and lastly third and 10th at the Maine State Championships. Garrett then competed in the New England Division III Championships, taking ninth in the weight throw.

2014 outdoor season highlights: Garrett opened the season at the Bates Invitational, taking seventh in the javelin, eighth in the discus, and ninth in the hammer. At the NESCAC Championships, Garrett took 13th in the javelin and 10th in the hammer.

2014 indoor season highlights: Garrett opened the season by taking 19th in the weight throw and second in the shot put at the Bates Invitational. Garrett then took 20th and 23rd in the same events at the Bowdoin Invitational, ninth and 24th at the USM Invitational, and sixth and 11th at the Maine State Championships to finish her season.
